I always say I am getting back and don't....... ha! Sorry. Busy is good, and with the weather, I have not stopped. Took "me" time, which was really needed. Catching up has to happen soon, though. Just have not been feeling good. There has been a lot of things going on, too, that I just keep my yap shut on. Not worth having an opinion, and I don't have time to drop what I am doing. Well, I probably do, but I don't want to. Serious. This is how I got behind. I need 3 days of no other distractions, at least, lol...

Grape & Wine starts this weekend... was supposed to go to the Rockpile tonight, but the reason why I was going isn't happening. SO, instead of getting up at 4 am, I stayed in... and with tomorrow being the hubby's birthday, I made some plans already. Tomorrow is a multiple birthday thing happening at the Rockpile, so that seems to be the thing to do. I need live music. It's what I thrive on.

That brings me to something I really need to touch on... because you could probably could say I suffer from a form of depression and the only thing that takes that away is the shows I go see. I hate throwing that word around and honestly, the term "mental health" is always (or so it seems) thrown around entirely too much, as well. How I feel isn't important all the time, but what is, is the love that comes from the music & its melody makers. That keeps me sane.......

Before I do this again, I may need to rest up... so I will talk to you later......

7 Sept. 2018:

This is the month fall is right around the corner, but it has been seriously warm. To the point my allergies usually associated with summer are still a pain in my nose... and sinuses... and throat... and, well, if you have allergies, you know what I am talking about...

I have Livestock this weekend....... and it all starts tonight.. at Taps on Queen, in Niagara Falls. This is also the month (end of it) that the NMAs are going on (being held in St. Catharines this year). A flurry of activity going on with the CCMAs in Hamilton, too......

....... not to mention shows galore to check out.

I just wanted to drop in quick, and let you know it'll be a busy weekend..... and I hope to update by Sunday or Monday. Yeah, I say it, but I rarely do... however, this time I will try.....

There is limited time for me these days, and I am fighting a few *where'd-that-ache-come-from" issues. I know you don't want to hear it, but I ain't lyin' to you... the way the weather has been has truly fupped me duck major....

Hopefully, I don't wear myself out too much, and talk to you soon..... in the meantime, get out and support your local music scene......

  #GetOffTheCouch

That is something I have been doing even more of lately. To the point that I am always flooded with amazing memories, and meeting extraordinary people along the way. Yeah, some things suffer a bit (I am SO behind on stuff), but it is worth it all. Winter is coming so hibernating will happen, unlike past years, but it has to happen. I have got so much to take care of with some of my focus and changes planned, that if I don't get a little down time in Da Nest, I will go crazy...

Yesterday was CDC Entertainment presents Just Heart at Big Texas... and it was awesome to meet everyone, and see Valerie after a year and a half. I reconnect with people on a daily basis, and believe me when I say it is always a pleasure! Last night was just one example... :) Also in attendance was Pat Porter of Giant FM, Jay Moore (when you meet this guy, you decide if he's a putz... but that's the rumour) (Loves ya, Jay, hahaha), Shane Neal of Your TV (and Ron), Kim of Eklectik, and hell. so many. Wade Winstanley opened for Just Heart and did an amazing job! Tonight, I chill... maybe... I might have to do one thing, but my weekend is full with a trip to see some thrash (yes, I like thrash......) and then, the NMAs on Sunday.

The 11th annual Niagara Music Awards are happening this Sunday, and a new twist for me.... I was asked to be a presenter. I'm honoured at the chance to further the exposure of RBX Radio here in my area. They have been super amazing taking me on after Max Ink Radio had to call it quits. I will always be grateful to Rokker & Jimmy K for the opportunity..... and thank the staff and owner of RBX for accepting me, and allowing me to continue what I love doing. Good people, and you really should check them out. (rbxradio.com)

Nice to see Bruce Timms just now, working his Re-election... haha, he must think I'm weird. Not really dressed for visitors, but heck, known him for a while. He and I had a really nice chat.... and it was a good one.... so good luck to him!

I don't know if I will be having Revive the Rose in here on the 10th..... they haven't gotten back to me. However, if not, that's ok... I have a ton of things I really need to do, and getting organized is starting to make me crazy.

See... it doesn't stop, but you have to love it.... enjoy your weekend, and see ya on the airwaves....
