August 10th, 2018

I have a lot to do in the next couple weeks, but just wanted to check in with you. I am feeling better, so that is something. Now, if I could find an extra couple days to just catch up, I'd love it..... HA!

Tomorrow & Saturday (at least) I am actually doing something non-musical for a change of pace. Every once in a while, one must do something that makes our heart smile that we love, and I set this weekend aside for just that...

I will see you later (Monday is sorta kinda lookin' good), and everyone have a great weekend....

  See you soon!

August 3rd, 2018

My summer has gone 'way too fast... in to August already! Keeping really busy, and time is just rolling on by! Caught a bug a few weeks ago that put me on hold for about a week or two, but didn't totally slow down... kept *just busy enough* in between being forced to rest a little. This year has been weird, weather-wise.... Looking into some of my own changes coming up, and all for the good, stay tuned... OH and still not smoking, fyi, but now I can't seem to shut my brain off!

Tonight is the start of Canal Days in Port Colborne, celebrating 40 years this year! With great music, food, vendors and, of course, ships! A place for family fun all day with something around every corner to either do, eat, drink, or shop! Hubby and I go every year even if only for a little while, and take in the sites before relaxing with friends in the evening. If you've never been, check it out...

Tonight, also, MindMaze kicks off their mini tour at the Hard Luck Bar in Toronto. This female fronted metal band has been a staple on the playlist for a few years now, and looking forward to seeing them soon. I have heard nothing but good when it comes to them live, so checking them out is on the serious to do list.... and tonight might be my chance...

With the long weekend this weekend, there is great shows and things to do going on around here & the Golden Horseshoe.... check Live Entertainment Calendar for Canada to see what's happening!

One thing I want to mention, for sure, is tomorrow's benefit at The Rockpile.... The Colin McAllistar 1st annual Memorial Trust Concert. You have heard me talk about him, and how the loss touched many people... and this is a way to keep his memory & love for music alive. A fixture at The Rockpile for as long as I can remember, he was always there with a hug, a smile, and an honest opinion, if you wanted it... and we miss him dearly. Somewhere around 14 bands & a jam is going to be an awesome time celebrating the man & his love the the indie music scene... starts at 3 PM...

Next week is the second annual Great Canadian Truck show in at The Flamboro Speedway, and one of the major sponsors is Joseph Haulage... where hubby works.... TONS of trucks and some racing as well! It will be a great time and I am looking forward to it! I love big trucks!!!! If you drive, check out Joseph's Facebook page to get to the event...

I will be in and out of Da Nest over the next week, working on a few things... and will see you on Wednesday (8 PM EST/1 AM GMT) for my show on RBX Radio... and be sure to catch All Indie with Bobby B. on Tuesdays with the lovely Miss Christie Hails (7 PM EST/ Midnight GMT).

Support your local music scene... They work hard to entertain you!
